  1. Soak rice and dal for 30 minutes..
  2. In a pressure cooker add soaked rice, dal and all vegetables, tomato, turmeric powder, salt to taste and water and cook for 2 whistles..
  3. Turn of the flame and let it cool..
  4. Fir tadka heat oil in a kadhai, add oil cumin seeds, bay leaf, dry red chilli powder, ginger and red chilli powder..
  5. As spultter add on cooked khichidi and some water and cook for 5_7minutes..
  6. Healthy and delicious khichidi is ready to serve and sprinkle some ghee on top..
